Week 14 - Another Week, I've lost track.

Alright so this week was really interesting. Generally Elder Hernandez and I have a lot of new people to teach every week, but this week we got wrecked on that number, stuck with only one new person. We are allowed to use whatever we can to contact, so we're thinking of developing some magic tricks to allow us to do magic for people while teaching at the same time, we'll see how it goes. Ha ha!
Bueno. We may have been without new people to teach, but I have seriously repented about me trying to decide who I share the gospel with and who not to. The answer is, I can't choose to not in any situation. We have one place in our area that is a lot of viviendas (households) called Verdisol. It is easily the most dangerous area we have, our only red zone, but we have people to teach in there so we still go, but we literally have not stepped foot in Verdisol one time without making really good contacts or having new people to teach. I don't like the area that much, but the work moves there, so I think I kind of have to keep trying, work on my level of love a little bit more, but it is really impressive.
Meanwhile, Michelle came to church this week, Por fin! (finally!) She said she really liked it and we had her write every single question that she had, because we've already taught her all the mission lessons, so next time we go, we're just going to sit down with her and answer questions. Hopefully we can get her to come to a session of general conference also.
Once upon a time, we were in Verdisol, where Maria lives. We could not find her house at all! Literally all the street that she lives on had the exact same house number! What is the point of that!!!!!! Nonetheless, we were in Verdisol, we had just finished teaching another investigator in Verdisol, we were walking down the street, and miraculously (literally) enough, she just so happened to be outside her house as we walked by. We finally taught her the Restoration, she really liked it, and she was also in church yesterday, and has a baptismal date for October 13th. We just need to take her to a session of general conference and ya esta!
Mariela lost her baptismal date though, and she's not married. Luckily our ward mission leader has been focused on that problem ever since he got called and he hunted down lots of places where they can get marriages done quickly and easily, now we just need to get Mariela and Jonathan to have the desire to get married. So she's going to progress a little slower, but I still have full confidence that she will get baptized with time.
Other good and bad news at the same time. Pablo, who had a baptismal date, found a job to be able to support his family, but he is literally at his house only for a few hours on one day every week, so we had to drop him, because he will never be able to come to church, but hopefully the things we have taught him will plant a seed that other missionaries can use later.
To end things on a funny note, we were contacting a person we had met earlier named Fabian. He told us that he was constantly running in his life because he was so busy and had his young daughters. So he told us, "But you know, in about 15 years when my girls are older maybe you could come back and I'd love to listen." So we took him up on it, we wrote a note in the area book that said to pass by Fabian in the year 2033 and his address and now we just wait to see if the note survives. Ha ha!
Well, the work's going good, still looking alright for having our 3 baptisms in October like we were thinking we could have, mainly we need to get Mariela married, but yeah. That's pretty much all for this week!
Nos vemos

He is pretty excited about it!
