Week 16 - The Week after Last Week
This week has been absolutely ridiculous!!!
So we start off with crushing our new investigators record; the old record was 6, and the mission weekly goal is 7, but this week we were able to find 9, and with those 9 they have family members that we still have not talked to yet. Elder Hernandez and I were super pumped that we are setting up the next change so well!

We started to follow President Nelson's recent counsel to missionaries to use a pamphlet called "Mi Familia" (My Family) in contacting to talk about the importance of the family and family trees, and Elder Hernandez and I have been jumping in to give a brief Plan of Salvation summary and talk about eternal families, and it's been working like crazy. It's almost like the prophet knew exactly what we had to do to have success or something! Huh, funny how that works.
All the days were very miraculous with all the finding that I really just don't have the time to tell all the side stories, just know that I feel like I'm not doing anything because we just get guided to where we need to be by the Spirit, and they listen through the Spirit, and the people let us come back through the Spirit. The phrase representatives of Christ has taken on a whole new meaning after this week!
Anyway though, Sunday was actually the best day I've had in the mission. Maria was baptized the day before and then was confirmed on Sunday. That was super great to finally get to that step with someone, but it was also fast & testimony meeting. The other person we're teaching, Michelle, who still isn't baptized got up and bore her testimony about her experience with us and how she has come to know that God really does exist! That was super awesome. And finally, just as we finish helping Maria get baptized, who just showed up to church on her own one day, another young man just shows up to church on his own. His name is Cristian, he's living with an inactive member and they decided to come yesterday and we're going to get to visit them this week and I'm super excited.
Well that's pretty much it for this week!
Nos vemos!
