Week 20 - The Record Breaking Week
We finally did it! Double digit finding week with 10 new investigators! Vamos arriba (we're moving up/forward)! Honestly a lot of them are capos tambien (awesome too). I think my favorite find of the week was 2 Evangelicals that pulled out a Bible, and I thought they were going to bash us, but then they were like "Hey, we like to talk about Jesus too! I just wish all the churches weren't corrupt." He then started reading Bible scriptures and started bashing his own church, and then we taught the Restoration and he was just like, "Yeah, that would make sense..." So we're really excited for them. Also... they have 4 baptizable kids. Whoo!
Eduardo and Claudia are still doing good. They already know that what we're teaching is good. Claudia even commented on the feeling of peace she feels every time we come, so if I had any doubts about the trio of Elder Rojas and I, and if the Spirit was with us as well, that flew away. They live in a fairly dangerous part of the area, and they say that place is just packed with negative energy, but we basically reverse it every time we visit them. They basically just need to get married and we'll be good to go! (and come to church, but that'll come eventually)
Marilin was our only investigator that came to church on Sunday. She is super capa because she already has a really strong personal connection with our Heavenly Father; she prayed about the Restoration and the Book of Mormon, and we gave her a fecha (date). She agreed but before she committed too strongly, she wanted to verify that the church was how it sounded on paper, she came yesterday, and she said she really liked it and felt super comfortable! She has a baptismal date for the first of December and we're stoked!
Michelle is still doing well, she's just struggling to decide to get baptized. She even showed us the video of Pres. Nelson and Elder Stevenson summing up their trip and their final counsels and she said she really liked it and everything. She knows he's a prophet, we're just really struggling to find out what she's waiting for. Luckily though, we're going to have Pres. Olsen with us on Thursday to work with us and we have a charla (discussion) with Michelle and him (and us) and we're going to see if Pres. Olsen can't help us with our little situation.
Cristian also is doing really well. He has so many desires to change from his past life and get closer to God. He reads the stuff we leave, he prays, he just seriously struggles to wake up early in the morning to come to church. This is where something like 1:00 church would come in handy, but we're going to keep working with him, and hopefully we can get him to come again soon!
Finally Fabian also has a baptismal date. He's super capo. He told us if he read and prayed and felt that the church was actually true, he'd follow it si o si. He'd quit smoking, he'd rearrange his schedule to come on Sundays and everything, so now we just need him to get his answer and he'll progress flying!
This was a really awesome week and we're expecting some great success in the week to come!
Nos Vemos!

Scripture of the Week: Alma 23:5-6 (This taught me about the difference between a testimony and conversion.)
Bryant forgot his camera so here are a couple of pictures from a few weeks ago.
