Well this week was both really awesome but super difficult at the same time.
The good news is that we had a super great Zone Conference this week. I always love Zone Conferences because it gives us the chance to seriously get some ideas flowing of how we need to improve as missionaries and how to help as many people as possible progress.
The rough thing though is that we still are having trouble with getting people to come to church. We have an honestly decent sized teaching pool of people we're working with, but as stated in the conference, even bigger of an obstacle to baptism than people living together without being married, or the Word of Wisdom, is church attendance. Luckily, we talked a lot about that in the Zone Conference and the way we need to be inviting them to church to help them feel more comfortable and actually want to go. We're really going to be focusing on that this week to see if we can get some more church attendance.
It's been really nice recently though with the way we spend our days. When I first got here we had very few people to teach and all the time in the world to contact, but now, we're starting to not have time to contact because we're constantly hopping from charla to charla
(discussion to discussion). This is nice, but now we just need to help them come to church and ¡ya esta!
Familia R had some problems this week. It turns out, they're not actually married, they just like to say that they are married, but actually no, and we finally found out that C drinks and smokes as well. They're super great still and they are willing to change, it's just going to be a bit of a process now.
A and V are also super great! They are super faithful and understanding of the things we teach, but they also need to wait until they can get married before they can get baptized and it is really difficult for V to wake up early in the morning to come to church. Sometimes she wakes up at 1 in the afternoon she tells us, so that'll be interesting.
Our biggest hope for right now is still J. She is so incredible honestly, she reads and prays on her own, she just doesn't come to church (it's like I've said that before.) Luckily though, we haven't attempted this new invitation method that we learned in the Zone Conference with her yet, so we've got much higher hopes for this coming week.
Well that's all for now! Nos vemos!
