Week 41 - The week where Conference is CLUTCH!!!

This week was really awesome for us, I doubt I will see another week this good in the near future; or maybe I just need more faith.  Nonetheless, awesome week!

This week was honestly super tranquilo (calm, quiet) - teaching lessons, contacting, finding new people, the normal; but this last weekend could not have been more amazing for us.
Obviously we had General Conference which in and of itself is awesome, but........
The best part is that we had investigators in EVERY SESSION!!!!!!!  Let's go!
G. came to ALL 3 sessions on Saturday, F. came to 1 session each day, A. and C. (2 new people) came to one of the sessions on Sunday.

I love one quote from G. after the first 2 sessions and we told him about the third one as well and asked if he wanted to come and he said, "Well if I'm invited, of course! Today is a day for God!"

F. also went and looked for some friends in and out of the church to bring to one of the sessions for us which is where A. came from. It's super awesome when your investigators are also missionaries! We are so excited because he is going to be getting baptized this Saturday!!

This week I studied something I guess I call "Praying in the name of Christ." I'm honestly not going to be able to put very much in my email about this study because it took me the entire week to do, but it's basically based off of this line in the Bible Dictionary on Prayer:

Christians are taught to pray in Christ's name (John 14:13-1415:7,1616:23-24).  We pray in Christ's name when our mind is the mind of Christ, and our wishes the wishes of Christ ---when His words abide in us (John 15:7). We then ask for things it is possible for God to grant. Many prayers remain unanswered because they are not in Christ's name at all; they in no way represent His mind but spring out of the selfishness of man's heart.

I then went on a study of all the attributes of Christ in Chapter 6 and figured out how to apply each attribute and how we should show that attribute in the prayers. I invite you all to find ways to make your prayers more "in the name of Christ" and I know you all will see the answers come more frequently. I know God listens and answers our prayers. I love you all!

Nos vemos!

-Elder Martin

Just some pictures of Bryant being Bryant during our call.  He lost the cord to charge his camera and upload pictures so that's why we usually don't get pics.  I am sending him a replacement this week so hopefully sometime next month we'll start getting pics again!
