Week 44 - The Week where I learn what Talk to Everyone actually means
Well this week was pretty cool!
First off, we had a really good zone conference this week. It was super awesome! I've never honestly had so much desire to talk with everyone that has ever breathed. Actually one of the assistants said this quote that I loved and I have made the motto of this week, "In this mission, we talk with everything that moves." I made that my goal of this week and it was super good for Elder Moreno and I.
We found a man named A. this week. He seems super receptive and, super luckily, he has actually never been baptized and seems really quite interested in the baptism, and for that we gave him a baptismal date in the first charla and it went super well. Unfortunately though, he didn't come to church. This week though we are going to follow up with him more.
G. dropped us this week. She said that she enjoyed our message but that she was not going to be able to change churches because she was going to the Universal Church for 20 years now. That made us kind of sad, but we have to find the people that are ready to accept the Gospel right now.
This week we also had a terrible rainstorm. I had bought an umbrella earlier that day that got completely destroyed and we ended up walking in rivers of water in the streets up to our knees. Just another day in the life of the mission, no?
Well I want to share another quote from my mission President. He shared with us in the zone conference D&C 82:10 which says "I the Lord am bound when ye do what I say, but when ye do not what I say ye have no promise." (I think; that was from memory.) Then he just said, "Try the Lord, I Dare You!" I testify that the Lord really does always keep his promises if we are willing to keep our end of the deal first. I have seen it in my work here and I know you can see it if you are willing to put the work in.
I love you all! Nos vemos!
