Week 45 - The week of improvement!
This week was actually super solid for Elder Moreno and I. We once again managed to hit the goal of finding 7 new people to teach this week that Tranqueras hasn't had for a long time. Some of them are really good!
Main events from this week is that first off we gave a fecha to M. for June 1st. He accepted and so far he is progressing fairly well, he already has established a good daily prayer and reading habit, we just have to help him overcome a smoking difficulty, but I've seen it done before and I know he can do it too!
We also started teaching (again) a man named M. He was an old investigator of Elder Moreno and Elder Walsh, but he never came to church or wanted to get married with his "wife" who happens to be an inactive member. Last week they came to church on their own though and we passed by for them this week, and they came to church again this week. Our Branch President also told us that they've been talking with him about how to improve their relationship and such so we're hoping that maybe the desire to get married is starting to settle in on them too.
M. also came to church this week. He seemed to like it; he smiled a lot during the meeting at some of the things some of the people said.
This week I want to share 2 Scriptures with you guys that are super nice together.
First off is 3 Ne. 12:48 and the second is Ephesians 4:11-14
We are given the charge by the Savior to be perfect when he came to visit the Americas, and the Apostle Paul gives us the way that we can do that.
To share just 2 of the 4 Scriptures in Ephesians:
11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
I really know that God calls Prophets and Apostles and more local Priesthood Leaders to be able to guide us in our development towards becoming perfect. I am super grateful for this knowledge and for the chance I have to share it every day.
I love you all! Nos vemos!
-Elder Martin
