Week 51 - The week where we start FLYING

This week was one of the best weeks ever! Period......but actually an Exclamation Point!

On Tuesday we had Divisions with Elder Hansen and Elder Peterson, our Zone Leaders, and it was super crazy! We were able to visit every single person we had that had accepted a baptismal date and we found a TON of new people to teach. Seriously, in that day alone we found more than what the mission has placed for the weekly goal. It was actually incredible.

On Wednesday, it was both one of the best and saddest days. We had a super great Zone Conference, lots of really good teachings and training, but it was also the last time that we are going to see President Olsen ( at least until I come home because he is from Utah, but yeah.) It was still super cool though because he talked a lot about the way he thought about preparing his message as his "plea from a dying father" as Lehi said. He really narrowed it down to this. " I don´t care at all why you came on the mission, but if you leave the mission without being able to say I served because I love Christ, you did not serve for the right reason." That was super powerful for me. There are lots of good reasons to serve a mission, but I do feel like this is a case where there is a right answer amid lots of good answers, and I think that is how it is for our entire lives really. We should keep the Commandments not for obligation, without understanding why, we should really grow to keep the Commandments because we love Christ. After the conference he also gave us a Priesthood Blessing which was also a really cool moment for me.

Thursday, we honestly got kind of destroyed, all of our charlas (discussions) fell through except one, and it was actually kind of a bad charla. Haha! We lost control and the guy just talked a lot, so not the best day, but it happens.

Friday was really awesome! We had another charla with M and Y. They still felt good about their baptismal date on the 29th of June and we taught them the Word of Wisdom. The only thing there is that Y drinks coffee, and she said that she is going to start now to stop little by little.

On Saturday we also lost a lot of charlas, but the day was still super good. We did a house service with our Branch President, his daughter, and another young man from our ward for a recent convert named B. We were covering the inside of her house with cardboard and nylon to protect it from rain and such, and soon we're going to go back and move her bed into that room. She is elderly, 73 years old, but she is already in really poor health. That was super awesome for us! We also had a charla with J with his Mom also, and she also participated very well in the charla.

On Sunday J and his mom N, H, and S all came to church!!!!!!!!!! It was super awesome. Then afterwards we went to M and Y to see why they didn't come to church, and they had a valid reason, so we gave them a new baptismal date and they´re going to keep progressing we hope.

Well, that was my week!
Nos vemos! Les quiero!

Bryant says his companion is a master at making pancakes.
He estimated he ate at least 30 pancakes this past week!

I think my son is tired!  😄

This is the cat that has "adopted" the missionaries.  If they leave a
window open, it will go in their house and wait for them to get home!
