Week 58 - The week of Improvement in some areas and drops in others

This week was all in all quite good for us!

First of all, L. decided that he actually did want to be baptized which was super awesome, BUT he wanted to wait until September because it is a special month for him. This will most likely mean that I will not be there for it, but it is more important that his baptism be something that he wants and is special for him so it's fine by me!  I'm just glad he felt like it was a step that he should take in his life.

N. and J. are still doing really well! We did have to deal with a small issue this week though. We had our charlas planned with them, but they kept falling through. We later found out that it is because N.´s husband doesn't like us, therefore he doesn't want us in the house. N. is super great though; one of the reasons that really shows me that she likes the church and has desires to continue learning is that awhile ago we mentioned the possibility of having charlas in the church. Yesterday she asked if we could set up a charla in the church so that we could keep talking and not bother her husband.

Basically this week was much better on finding for us and also we finally have a couple more people that have started keeping the more basic commitments, now we just have to find a way to get them to church this week. That was our major issue this week though. We have good people that are progressing well, but nobody came to church... it was kind of unfortunate but now we know what we need to focus on this week.

We had a Zone Council today and we talked a lot about the importance of joy. We know that men are that they might have joy and we talked a lot about what joy really is and we obtain it. What I learned from it was this: Joy is a Spiritual Happiness, that lasts much longer than the pleasure that the world offers, and comes only when we live a righteous life and do our best to share our joy with all those that are around us. May we all strive to be righteous and strive to improve so that we may be able to fulfill our purpose of having joy.

I love you all! Nos vemos!
