Week 59 - The Week where God backs up his Elect!!

This week has been really good! It did have one really saddening moment for us but in the end everything turned out alright!

We had a charla with N. and J. on Wednesday. In this charla J. told us that he didn't want to get baptized anymore and didn't want to listen to the lesson so he left. After that we taught the final lesson to N. and asked her if she knew what was up with J. She said that she thought that her husband was trying to talk him out of it, but she said she would talk to J. and to her husband to try and get J.n back, and we set up her baptismal interview for Friday. On Thursday we did a special fast for J. that his desires to be baptized would return. Later on Friday we went to go visit N. to go to the church together for her interview but she came out and told us that now wasn't a good time. We kind of got worried that something had happened between her and her husband. So all the rest of the day on Friday we were just really sad and really worried about what had happened.

It all turned out alright though. On Saturday after lunch we were walking in the street like always and we randomly run into J. He tells us about his horses, and then randomly says "Oh by the way I want to get baptized now." So that took us by surprise; so we said we would talk with his Mom and figure that all out. Later in the day we found N. too and asked her how she was doing and she said that she was doing much better and that she's still good for her baptism on Friday! Now we just need to reschedule the interview for both of them and we're good to go!

L. is also progressing really well! He's been reading the Book of Mormon every day ever since he decided to change his own baptismal date! The other day we read a chapter with him and we studied and explained everything and helped him to understand it better. It was a super good charla! There's also a chance that we may be able to start teaching his sister soon too!

M. T. is also progressing well. She continues coming to church and now she should be nice and ready for her baptismal interview on Saturday. We also asked her how she was doing with her Book of Mormon reading, and she's in Mosiah 16!!!!! She is a reading machine; Let's go!

There are all kinds of miracles happening in Tranqueras right now! I know that this the Lord's work and I'm grateful for the opportunity to work here!

I love you all! Nos vemos!
