Week 67 - The week of General Conference
This week has been pretty good!
We had a lot more luck in our contacting this week! We were able to find a pretty decent amount of new people as well as a decent list of future people to visit. We also had a couple of good charlas with C. R. this week so that was nice.
Nonetheless, this week was a little rougher because we weren't able to visit with K. nor Familia C. this week. We passed by a decent bit but they were just never home. Turns out Brother C. had to have a surgery so they've been out of town dealing with that. He's fine now, it just took up a lot of time. We're hoping to be able to pass by this week!
Finally, nobody that we are teaching made it to General Conference which was a bummer! It was the first time in this area that we got zeroed on people coming to church.
But the Conference was super great and we are still upbeat about it all and we're going to get right back at it this week. Just not a super eventful week because of it though.
Today has been pretty awesome so far! The zone finally got together again. It's super hard because of all the traveling that we have to do to meet up, nonetheless it's super fun to have everyone around! We ate lunch together, played some Ping-Pong, went to the beach, I played the guitar a little bit. It's just been a super nice day so far!
Well there are a lot of things that I really enjoyed about the Conference!
First of all, I really loved the common theme of happiness and the ways to attain it. There were a lot that talked about it but with a lot of different perspectives and ideas that give us a very good idea about where to find true happiness.
I also really loved the talk by Elder Bednar that spoke about the tactics of the adversary. I've been realizing the importance as he said the importance of knowing his tactics to be able to beat him. I noticed there were many that also had that idea more or less in their talks as well. There are so many things I could write about the Conference but for me the overall idea that the entire Conference was trying to get across was: Learn the tactics and the traps of Satan, avoid them and become more obedient, as we do this, we will be happier.
I add my testimony to these things, that the only true happiness comes from living a life in the which we can enjoy the blessings of God and be certain of our worthiness to entire into eternal life with our Heavenly Father and our families after this life!
I love you all! Nos vemos!
